A tradition to honor the Writer, Performer, and Dreamer on the Journey toward Stardom. Through recognizing emerging artists by creating an event to celebrate the Making of Music and assist artists with professional development through networking and providing professional resources at a group discount. We also want to honor and recognize the venues that support the writers and performers, as well as, services provided by professional resources for artist, and last but not least the music fans and consumers. Every night of the week live music emanates from windows and doors of venues big and small; big names, no names, legends and emerging artists pour their heart and soul out to the delights of music lovers, tourists, and seekers of life. The business of making music can be tricky to say the least, and an artist must be strategic in investing in their own careers to be effective and efficient. Each artist will be provided a Professional Needs Check List along with a list of contacts and resources approved by Music 4 Mental Health to assist in setting reachable, manageable, and realistic goals. Each preliminary round is comprised of 5 artist performing 2 original songs live with solo accompaniment. The four weekly Area Venue winners will compete the fifth week for the area title and the chance to perform at the Presenting Venue Sponsor (Hard Rock Café) in the finals and a shot at the top prize. 50 artists will be selected to compete for a shot to be the Cream of the Crop. Four Area winners will perform at the Hard Rock Café June 20th Finals and compete for a collection of prizes. Prizes include professional: song analysis, two song studio production, bio analysis, photo session, performance analysis and professional needs analysis, inclusion on Cream of the Crop CD to be distributed through the venues and artist, and television pilot.
